Visit Bellingrath Gardens, a weekend place to escape the city is one of Mobile's best downtown parks. It's here where the Christmastime "Lighting of the Trees" celebration takes place, and it's also the Bayfest Music Festival is held. USS ALABAMA Battleship Memorial Park is located in Mobile on Mobile Bay. Mobile is a thriving cultural center; Mardi Gras is a proof for that. Being situated on the junction of the rivers the other attractions are bird watching, skiing, fishing, etc.

It enjoys mild subtropical climate. You can catch plenty of big name acts during the Bayfest Music Festival, and for those who like music, planning Mobile vacations around it is definitely recommended.

The area known as Lower Dauphin is a street where young and old alike can enjoy the nightlife of this city. You can find nightclubs catering to those looking to dance the night away, and restaurants and clubs with menus that are diverse. Wintzell's Oyster House, a Mobile institution since 1938 where they serve oysters fried, stewed. Wintzell's even serves terrific shrimp. Mobile Area Restaurant & Food Service Association judged their cuisine best in the place. Nightclubs like Club Retro and Insommia are great hangouts.
