Captain James Stirling founded the city in 1829 and since then, it has been serving as the Government seat for the state of Western Australia. Outdoor concerts can also be enjoyed in Subiaco Oval, Members Equity Stadium and Kings Park.

Because of the Mediterranean type of climate, the city of Perth receives hot and dry summers which last from December to March and wet and cool winters which last from May to September. February is the hottest month of the year and most of the rainfall takes place during winters. If you are planning to visit Perth indirectly, then the best route you can take is from Dallas to Perth.

The city of Perth has a vibrant alternative sexuality scene of music, especially focused upon such night clubs as Connections and the Court. It also features a huge growing electro indie scene through its night clubs such as Brass Monkey, Universal Bar and Cassette.
